SUSTAINABILITY ASPECTS OF eco₂floor

At ecocem we understand very well that the products used in the construction process have an enormous impact on our environment. By incorporating a by-product from the steel industry and using it as a basis for the eco₂floor, ecocem contributes to a reduction of the CO₂ footprint in the construction process.

 


Contributes to greater sustainability within the construction chain through the basic material GGBS.

Eco₂floor significantly reduces the CO₂ footprint compared to a traditional sand-cement floor.

At the end of the life cycle (demolition building) completely recyclable as concrete debree. Selective demolition is not necessary.

 


Provides a more efficient usage of underfloor heating because of its excellent conductivity, thus contributing to a reduction in energy consumption.

Is transported via a network of local dealers to the construction site, short transport routes, less CO₂ emissions.

Hardens through the hydration process with the water present in the mortar. Does not require heating or drying to harden.
